May day in Hawaii was like a couple days ago, but the middle school celebrated it today. There was like a big get together thing out in the field. All the parents came and watched us preform. First, the mayday court, (all the Kings and Queens and Princes and Princesses of Hawaii) came and danced to a couple songs. Then Me, along with a whole bunch of other seventh graders, sung a chant about Kohala or something. I don't really know what it meant cause it was all in Hawaiian. I didn't even know the words so I just moved my mouth when the boys sang. It was a really fun day!
This youth rock was actually really cool, Worship was the best part as always, and that went great. When I drum every Friday night, I have my good times and bad times ya know. This youth rock I felt like I did way better than before. We played Limitless and Go. That was fun, those songs are like two of my favorite ones to play to.
I stayed late, and hanged out with Paster Koa. I asked him about preaching and stuff. That was really cool. I was the last kid there, and my dad came up and hanged out with us for a little while. Then we walked home. It was a really fun night!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Saturday, we left to Kona. We stayed at our friends house and that was really fun. It was our friends' son's birthday party, so we got to celebrate that with them. That night uncle Chris taught me how to scuba dive in a pool. It was such an awesome experience! Then we left to Bienellies pizza. Oh, it was so good! We got a Hawaiian pizza. On Sunday, after swimming in the pool for a while, we left to Sports Authority. It was my little brother Abraham's birthday, so we got him a skateboard, a helmet, and pads. We also got him an awesome bike. He was so happy! I can't believe he's six! It was just six years ago when he was born. I remember holding him as a baby.
Last night was youth rock, it was really fun! The bummer part was that Uncle Koa wasn't there, he was I think in Oahu. So my dad got to lead worship. That was really awesome! We came to practice and had to call Uncle Kahana to come and unlock the door to the church. When we started practice, we played Touch the Sky, Limitless, and Your love never fails.
At the end of practice my dad played a Hawaiian song that has been in the family for a while. Uncle Latin was like, Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! It's cool that he new the song. Worship, I didn't really mess up that much : ) We played the songs that we practiced and that was awesome. So I basically skipped school for like 2 weeks, because of me having to go to the doctor and all. My dad picked me up from school, and he took us exploring. We usually take the Kohala cruiser ( A car Uncle Jonathan gave to us) and go explore some back roads of Kohala. So while we were driving Uncle Jonathan texted us and told us about this awesome waterfall.
We drove to the place and looked around, it was in this big gulch that said no trespassing all over. My dad's like, "whatever, I guess it's OK" We hiked through this crazy awesome jungle basically, I guess it was technically a rain forest, but I like calling it a jungle. There were like a ton of mosquito's and we kept on slipping and stuff. My dad brought Kalea and Braham. Witch was kind of tough, hiking along a steep hill with a baby and a five year old. When we got there, the beauty and crazy awesomeness of the spectacular waterfall amazed me so much. It didn't feel real... It was about 40 feet or so, I jumped in the big pond first. The waterfall came down into this huge pond, and then turned into a creek flowing down. It was awesome!!!!!!! I hope we go there again sometime soon! This month has been pretty cool I guess. We went to the beach a bunch of times and I missed school a lot. Whooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo. I missed like 2 weeks of school. Because I got sick. But life has been pretty good so far. We went to church on Sunday and I got to teach the Sunday school. It was like last second, Uncle Kahana told me real quick that I was going to teaching the Sunday school, and he told me what to do and stuff. I just followed the book and read to the kids and stuff. It was actually really fun!
I'm going to Jiu-Jitsu on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's super fun, and exciting to learn about. Jiu-jitsu is basically is a really awesome way of how to defend yourself, and beat up someone without punching or kicking. Our instructor, Uncle Kahana, (Sense Kahana) is a really awesome guy. Him and Uncle Dave are really amazing teachers and help you a lot. I always walk out of that class learning something new.
Jiu-Jitsu is very fun, and good to know. It teaches you a lot and I think every body should do it. If you live around Kohala, think about enrolling in this Jiu-Jitsu class. There's classes for Kids and Adults. |
